I am the true vine and my father is the husbandman, every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away. And every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it that it may bring forth more fruit. Now are ye clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

How deeply have you been purged? Have you ever been purged right down to the stub?

Sometimes that’s how I feel: everything stripped away until there is nothing left, and I wonder: has God abandoned me? Am I forsaken?

Ps 126:5-6
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

“And every branch that beareth fruit…” Here is a vital word, do you bring forth fruit? Or perhaps better put: have you brought forth fruit?

While healing a branch produces little fruit; it is pruned and must mend; it’s energy goes into repairing itself, but it will bring forth immensely.

God has not forsaken you, and who comes to Him He will in no wise cast out (John 6:37).

Gal 6:9
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Never give up; never surrender.
