For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Gal 3:27-29)
The Christian faith is based upon principals of spiritual fellowship with God, the Creator of the universe.
God is a Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit, and in Truth. So said the Messiah, God’s only begotten Son (John 4:24).
In fact, the conversation in which He said that was with a Samaritan – the Samaritans were a people considered to be racially impure by the Jews. But the Son of God made the Samaritans equal with the Jews who scorned them. He pointed out that the race of a person, their genetic disposition has no relevance at all to the things of the Spirit.
Jesus said elsewhere:
John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth[‘quikeneth’ meaning: ‘gives one eternal life’]; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
The flesh profits NOTHING. There is no profitability in our genetic ‘purity’ before God. God is a Spirit, and He seeks a spiritual people. You can be spiritual no matter your race.
Red, or yellow, black, or white, God doesn’t care. You are valuable to Him on the basis of your faith. He created mankind so that He could be in fellowship with us; He created the black man, He created the white man.
Jesus spoke the woman at the well in Samaria. Before Israel was conquered by the Assyrians in the Old Testament, the city of Samaria was the capital city of Israel. The southern kingdom of Judah (the two nations had split apart) had Jerusalem for its capital. But Samaria was the capital of Israel.
When the Assyrians conquered Israel, they removed the Jews from the capital city, and sent Babylonian refugees to inhabit the city. The Babylonians were pagans, who began to adopt some of Jewish culture because they had moved to the capital city of Israel. They interbred with the Jews who were in the region (this story can be found in 2 Kings 17:24-41). By the time that Jesus came, the Jews utterly despised the Samaritans who were not only half-breed Jews, but also pagans who had merely added some Judaism to their religion.
Jesus accepted the Samaritans; if they would put their faith in Him, they would be born again, and their former paganism would be forgiven. Their genetic ‘impurity’ so emphasized by the Jews made no difference at all to Jesus Christ. They could be born from above, born of the Spirit of God, and become equals with ‘God’s people’ in the eyes of the Lord.
There is no racial distinction in New Jerusalem.
1 Corinthians 12:12-14
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
Not only is there no racial distinction in the eyes of God, but neither is there racial distinction in the True Church of God: New Jerusalem.
Church organizations or denominations may make distinctions of race, but this only shows that they are earthly institutions, and not the True Church of the Living God.
Jesus Christ came to shed His blood not only for the Jew, not only for the Westerner, but also for the Asian, and the African; for every nation, tribe and tongue.
Once a person becomes a Christian, they are a New [spiritual] Creature, the old has gone, the new is come (2 Cor. 5:17). A spiritual man has been born from above, they may have a physical exterior that carnal men are still bias against, but each believer is an invisible new creature no more or less valuable to the body of Christ than any other.
Not only does your race not matter before God, but neither does your natural inheritance. Were your parents evil? God will not hold that against YOU. Were your parents righteous? God will not, therefore, favor you above those whose parents were evil. YOU can approach God because Jesus Christ, the Son of God made the ultimate sacrifice; the only sacrifice that can make people acceptable in the eyes of God.
No matter your past, or heritage, no matter your race, no matter even the corruption of your own heart; you can approach God by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His Son and be born from above.
As long as flesh exists in the world, there will be racism – because racism is carnal: it is a judgment of the carnal (flesh) on the basis of the preference of the carnal (flesh).
But God is a Spirit; He doesn’t look on the outward appearance; He is not interested in our genetic ‘purity,’ or lack thereof, He is looking for those who will worship Him in Spirit, and in Truth.
Don’t listen to any minister, or doctrine which emphasizes DNA, and genetics. GOD DOESN’T CARE ABOUT THAT… I know because His Son told me that in the scriptures of Truth.
Revelation 5:9-10
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed US to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; [notice the collectivity of this word: ‘us’ the church is speaking, WE TOGETHER are redeemed out of every kindred, tongue, people and nation.]
10 And hast made US unto our God kings and priests: and WE shall reign on the earth. [All of us, no matter the kindred, tongue, people, or nation WE are from.]
yes and amen! thank you!
