And they sung a new song, saying: “Thou art worthy to take the book, and to loose the seals thereof, for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and language. And hast made us unto our God kings and priests, and we shall reign on the earth. – Revelation 5:9 & 10

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of times.

But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under he whole heaven, shall be given unto the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him. – Daniel 7:25-27

When the Lamb of God was slain, the time was changed. Prior to the outpouring of Jesus Christ’s blood, the covenant which God had with man was with a single race of people; a single nation. When Christ Jesus died on the cross, He was slain, and shed His blood not for one nation, but for every kindred, and language, and people, and nation.

The times had changed, and now all mankind could approach God through faith in the ultimate sacrifice: that of Messiah, the pure and spotless Lamb of God. In the previous time, this was not the case; according to Hebrews, the sacrificial service of the priests under the old covenant was a lesson from our Teacher, the Holy Ghost that the time of our adoption was not yet:

The Holy Ghost this signifying that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest while as the first tabernacle was yet standing.

Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances imposed on them until the time of the reformation. – Hebrews 9:8 & 10

The time of the ‘reformation’ in this context is the reformation of the covenant; when shed His blood of the covenant for many (Mark 14:24).

In Galatians 4, Paul explains this phenomena as a tudor-ship; that the in the previous time – that time before Messiah was slain – the covenant, and the Law of God were tudors and governers to the people of God which illustrated the coming days of the kingdom of God. As a tudor-ship, the disciples were under the strict authority of the tudor.

Before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith that should afterwards be revealed. [That is, after the sacrifice of Christ.]

BUT when the fulness of time was come God sent His Son, made of a woman, made under the law. To redeem them that were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? [In bondage, as unto the tutors and governors: the old covenant, and the law]

Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. (Gal. 3:23 & 4:4-5, 9-10)

Christ came in the fulness of time; prior to His coming, there was no adoption unto God, but when the Lamb was slain, and shed His blood for all kindreds, and tongues, and people and nations, we all can now become sons of God through adoption by His blood.

The Christian concept of equality among all people through adoption unto God was a world-changing ideology.

In preference to no kindred (family), language, people (ehnicity), or nation (worldly government) Christ calls all men to repent, and desires to redeem us all unto God by His blood.

When the antichrist shall come, he shall think to change he times, to revert unto an age in which the blood of the Lamb is not slain; a time in which there is no adoption.

Christ changed the time (or ‘age’) when He shed His blood. This is the age of adoption; the year of the Lord’s favor, when all those who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Acts 2:21). Likewise, Christ changed the Law, which was our governer until faith in His sacrifice was revealed. Christ came with His blood as our priest, and in His role as priest He made this adoption possible. Yet though He was born under the Law, He was not a priest under the old order of the Law (the previous TIME), the priesthood also was changed by Him:

For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. (Hebrews 7:12)

Christ fulfilled the law, which now is changed; we now walk in the Spirit as the sons of God, not according to the carnal commandments (Hebrews 7:16) of the Law.

The antichrist will seek to change the times – as though it were not the day of salvation, and of adoption through Christ’s blood – and the very law of God. He shall strive to revert the world to the days before Christ was slain, before our adoption as the sons of God, and to enforce the Law of carnal commandments which was taken out of the way, being nailed to the cross as a prerequisite to our adoption (Ephesians 2:14 & 15).

The Lamb of God is not the Lord of but one nation; He is Lord of all nations, and of whosoever will follow after Him.

Jesus Christ is worthy to open the book in the right hand of God because He was slain for every kindred, and tongue, and people, and language; and we [those redeemed from every kindred, and tongue and people, and nation] shall reign on the earth when He returns.

This post seems to be somewhat of a prequel to this one about understanding the Abomination of Desolation
