‘Blessed are you when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.’

Ever get rejected?  Ever been maligned?  Ever had something essential from God which was scorned?

Rejoice!

Often it seems that Christians think that Jesus was welcomed by all but the Pharisees.  In fact, He was despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief.

I imagine that Jesus got tired sometimes.  You ever get tired?  I’m tired.

Never give up though, let us not grow weary in well doing for if we continue we will reap a reward if we faint not.

Be in Christ.  If you are in Christ and have no place to rest your foot, take heart.  Surely the dove has wandered from the time of Noah, seeking a place of rest.  It wandered, seeking one to rest upon – seeking one to anoint; it wandered and sought until the Stone of defence: the Rock of ages: the Word made flesh appeared.  Only then did the ever-wandering dove find a place to land: a safe haven for holiness, and a sure foundation, and the olive tree of God.

The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in behalf of him whose heart is perfect toward Him.

Be in Christ friend, and care not what the world… nor yet those who call themselves Christians will say or do.  Ye are the haven of the Holy Ghost, not the approval of man.
